Host Bar Options
Host Bars can be setup in many ways: below are three of the most common.

  1. Drink Tickets
One of the most common ways to operate a Host Bar is to offer drink tickets to your guests. These tickets can be good for a certain dollar amount or a certain category. This method allows the host to estimate the range of the final invoice. A 20% gratuity is added to the final tab.
  2. Time Range
Another common approach is to operate the Host Bar for a time range--for example, having it open from 6pm-8pm. At 8pm, the bar then switches to a Cash Bar, where the guests purchase their own drinks. A 20% gratuity will then be added to the tab generated from 6pm-8pm.
  3. Open Bar
The third most common Host Bar offering is to make available for the guests an open bar throughout the evening—with all drinks paid for the by host. We work with the host to determine the selections that best suit their needs and keep a tally of all drinks ordered throughout the night. A 20% gratuity will then be added to the tab generated during the event. See our menu below for a basic outline of selections.
